Frustrating alt whine won't go away...

Ok cool, I am gonna test that tmrw! I will run like a jumper cable from front to rear on top of existing grounds to see if that helps. Hopefully this fixes it..

Hey broke do you think that having belt slipping can contribute to alternator whine or is that a separate issue?

An easy way to test before run jumper cables is test the voltage at the back battery to the front battery. If you have very little to no voltage drop between the two while the car is running your grounds are probably good.

I will do that...shouldnt the rear battery's voltage read a tad lower? At least, I was told to connect my voltmeter to my rear battery basically for that reason.

Lol!!! You didn't even try to check the voltage between the 2 batteries before you did that, did you? Don't be afraid of the DMM it is a very useful tool.

The voltage is basically the same ..lol I use my dmm alot
