sundownaudio
would it be safe to use a XS POWER D1200 under the hood ? because the battery bay is near the engine and radiator and my car does get quite hot also i live in the caribbean so the weather gets hot too, would this cause swelling or any problems of the sort if i have it up front ? OldsBoomer
I used a D925 under the hood and it did fine for many years. I just had too much current going through it. If you're worried about the heat, get some of the insulation that is made for batteries Quote Suburban Coming Soon
SPL.Pantie.Soak
XS power sells their own insulation kit for under-hood batteries. chris@xspower
an insulation kit as these guys have mentioned would be your safest option for a long battery life. Our batteries are rated for temps of 140 degrees. Anytime you can keep a battery cool or protected from extreme heat the longer life it will have.
