old term lab ? new term lab?

So my boss has the new term lab magnum. And it seems to be a Hart braker. About 10 guys now have got on the meter and do far under what they would think they are at. And this is not new guys to the game. People who I have seen do mid 50s on the old style meter, then in the new build they have do like a 150db and be like wtf this is as loud if not louder then a past build. Not looking to start a shit fest. Just curious if some one has metered a car with old meter then the new and seen what happend. Had a few guys say that old meter to the new there is a 3-5db difference, because of the accuracy of the new meter. What you guys think? If we had the old meter I would test my self..

Please don't take it that I'm trying to take away from someone's score because of the old meter. Your score is what it is new or old..

The old termlab(pre 2002?) was very inaccurate and measured much louder than newer versions. The termlab used 2003-2014 measures within a few tenths of the termlab magnum.

Current setup

DD Z318 Extra Stiff, Kevlar cone, Double top plate x2

Banda Viking 10k x2

5 Banks of Maxwell 2.85v 3400F caps

Build log Termpro Profile

I just used the magnum at a show yesterday and did some side by side testing with the previous version, there within .15 of each other.

As for average on music bass race or what we call bass brawlin it seems a little jumpy, a little harder to keep a number constant.

I have heard it is just a few tenths lower.

Yes they are off by a few tenths.

The old TL had me peaking at 41hz 149.7 at the headrest

The new TL has me peaking at 40hz 149.4 at the headreast.

ZERO change in setup.

i have multiple LOUD peeps telling me the new is .3 db off (you should see what the new RTA makes people butt pucker) from the old...

not that i give a fuck, because its across the boad, BUT, i tested on the old, and a spl labs mic, and im MORE into my NEW GAIN.....

not trying to start a dick tug, i just wanna know if HOW LOUD it is now....... is more than the gain i saw on the old gear/mic's
