i got to the bottom of the problem. it was signal fading from the stock headunit but not I have a new problem lol...

I swapped out the LC2i for the LC6i and now when the thing wouldn't turn off..

The only way it turns off is if i disconnect the rca wires from it.

When i turn the car off everything shuts off except for the lc6i.

when i unplug the rcas it turns off..

any suggestions?

Not what I meant as too much power. Meant it as it could be getting too much current and is trying to protect itself from further damage. That's what happened to a friend of mine. Once he fused the power wire to it, it stopped shutting off.

Well, im not sure about the LC6i, but I thought on the LC2i, you dont need a remote lead if you use the RCA's as the signal to turn on. Same with the LC6i?

And why would you get the LC2i working, then immediately swap it? and have issues again?

Is the head unit powered off? Not sure what vehicle you have. If there's a time delay before the head unit cuts off and the rest of the car electronics then that could be it. A lot of the 2000 and up vehicles don't completely cut power until a door is opened or after like 10-ish minutes

Signal Sense turn-on only works if you're using high-level inputs. OP, as reedal mentioned, give it some time and see if it shuts down. Also, let's make sure you DON'T have a remote turn-on connection into the LC6i, because you were troubleshooting or whatever. If you want to use the GTO feature, then don't connect a remote-in lead too. A random ignition source in the vehicle may also take some time to turn off, depending on where you tapped in.
