Masterbasser
I gotmy mechman 320 billettech unit into my 84 ford mustang with a 92 5.0 engine and wired it all up,works great stereo hitting pretty hard, havent dropped the real amp in yet (5k). I have noticed since the install the engine temp seems to run hotter on the gauge and creeps up even more when bassing hard for longer periods of time. wondering if this is normal? the car has not overheated or anything it just used to run around 1/3 on the gauge now it gets up over halfway. the radiator hose runs right across the top of the alternator and i do have some heat wrap around it there Quote Kenwood excelon ddx795 3 370 amp CES alternators (audio side only) McLaren dome tweeters Crescendo 6.5 ultra neos NVX JAD800.4 4 PA x4 SPL 18's 4 Digital Designs m5's at .7 ohms each 2 K2 80 ah lithiums 3 group 31 agms Ledglow million color (12 piece) 2007 Yukon xl
Skullz
If it is a stock gauge then the calibration might be off, i would use a quality temp gauge that has actual temp numbers on it. The stock gauge could move a lot with just a minor temp increase, and unless you know where each mark on your gauge is at temp wise you would only be guessing what temp your actually running. Masterbasser
think i may buy one of those radiator caps with the temp guage on it and see what it reads at Quote Kenwood excelon ddx795 3 370 amp CES alternators (audio side only) McLaren dome tweeters Crescendo 6.5 ultra neos NVX JAD800.4 4 PA x4 SPL 18's 4 Digital Designs m5's at .7 ohms each 2 K2 80 ah lithiums 3 group 31 agms Ledglow million color (12 piece) 2007 Yukon xl
ProMaxx316
I can past link but go to a autozone. Most time they have Auto meter gauges in stock. Quote If it's worth building, it's worth over building.

Marquisboys
Something crazy but maybe your stock alt wasn't putting out enough juice to power some of the gauges correctly.. just a thought Quote 2004 Grand MarquisAA Mayhem 18Crescendo 3500d6.5's AQ Pro AudioAQ Super TweetsImage Dynamics 6x9Soundqubed 125.4MB Quart 80.4144.2 db GONZO 2013 Chrysler 300S Granite Crystal Metallic Exterior Inferno Red Interior 5.7 HEMI AWD LMI Air Hammer Intake Corsa exhaust Custom Tune
sqall12001
The engine is working harder to drive the alternator. It will heat up a little more, but shouldn't get past the thermostat temp. If it's a tuned engine, additional cooling upgrades might be required -Nick
Masterbasser
now im running at 14.5 volts instread of 14.0 maybe that has something to do with it?
