dayo808
When running my big 3 is it mandatory that I fuse my charge wire or not and should I just run a ground connecting my starting batt to my bank in the back or just ground my bank to the frame? gdaigle
If there is nothing wrong with his current under hood battery wouldn't it make sense to just add another battery now then upgrade his under hood battery later? This way he has 2 batts instead of just one and can get the most out of what he has... reedal
It's not mandatory, but it's safer. It's personal preference to me. I feel it's too short of a run to fuse, others don't. You can do your ground either way. It won't make much difference for your power. There's a video d'amore did about it. For larger power (3k+ I believe) it was better with a front to rear ground. MrSkippyJ
I will just say this. All of my vehicles have had fuses from the factory between the alt and battery. Also, Tony C (Snafu) says to fuse the charge wire. What he says is pretty much right when it comes to 12v electronics. dayo808
I have also been wondering about this? Haha. The quote thing didn't work or I did it wrong. But when I get the new starting batt should I use it in the back till I get a secondary battery?
 1 20
MrSkippyJ
I didn't realize you only had one battery now, my bad. Get that upgraded along with your Big 3, then worry about adding a second battery.
