Lbox88
Or people are hesitant because they don't have a proven track record here and we have been around long enough to see several companies start out well but after barely getting a name for themselves they go to shit. Not to mention a lot of the bargain bin priced alts out there in the past have proven to be garbage that literally catches on fire and when it doesn't do that it doesn't put out rated either. There's a lot of scar tissue around here that has lead us to only trust the manufacturers that we do. UBL | Build Log
Do-LowHrzHurts
If your only running 1200 watts I can't see the need for a bigger charging system (ALTERNATOR) Adding a rear battery is only good for so long till you cook your oem alt. Get a descent AGM main battery that can take the abuse and you should be fine. For my car oem alt options are 90 amp and 120 amp, check to see if your vehicle has oem options. Current build 300amp alt (1) xs power d4800 up front (1) Optima yellow top 34 out back All 1/0 skyhigh car audio power and ground including big 3/4 (2) Hyphonics 2000.4 front doors 5.25" memphis mclass comps don't recall exact model# future plans to run (2) pair 6-8" mids each front door. rear ski port 6.75" Alpine Type X pro series running passive rear doors factory 5.25" need better speakers. (1) ? sub amp maybe sundown saz-4500d (1) ? Subwoofer maybe team 15" getting by with a db drive 2400.1 class ab amp thats doing a good 660ish watts rms to single JL audio 13w6v2 @ 2ohms box 2.86 cubes slot port 32hrz def need way more batteries. https://instagram.com/p/4w51kBrX9g/?taken-by=boost_syndicate
Jessica
i dont know what to say, i ran a 1500 watt mono block and a 50x4 for over a year on a 70amp alt and two lead acid batts and the alt was fine. just threw it on a charger once a month and even the batteries were still fine. Hell some people dont even back out till they drop into the 10's. I would only drop into the 11's if i played full tilt for like 20 minutes straight. It's not like you are driving around listening to since waves. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside.
