WillistonAudioLabs
Just for fun, I bought this little Kenwood 4ch Class D amp to use in my toolbox boombox project and thought why not throw it on the Amp Dyno? Amp is CEA 2006 certified and rated to deliver:50W x 4 at 4 ohms or 75W x 4 at 2 ohms or 150W x 2 at 4 ohms bridged or 50x2 + 150x1 in 3ch mode Box also says "Max Power 600W". True or myth? Borris The Blade
What a little power house! I must say I'm impressed. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
Broke_Audio_Addict
Wow, that's impressive from that tiny little amp. I bet they are about to get a sales boost when this vid makes its way around. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. WillistonAudioLabs
Wow, that's impressive from that tiny little amp. I bet they are about to get a sales boost when this vid makes its way around. Maybe so, but it is deserved! I bought this amp with my own $$, so no special treatment from Kenwood. Based on this test, I would like to try the matching baby 300W monoblock... See my videos on YouTube http://www.willistonaudio.com Many tests and demos of OLD and NEW SCHOOL car audio gear! Miguels
have you tested the forgate pbr? my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
WillistonAudioLabs
have you tested the forgate pbr? I did a while back, but didn't video it and I don't recall the #'s. I have one 2ch 300x2 and one monoblock 300x1 in one of my vehicles. I have the 4ch 300x4 as well, but it's just 4 channels at 4 ohms...not bridgeable or rated at 2 ohms. This Kenwood is more flexible than the RF PBR300x4 and costs less as well. I'm known to be a RF fanboy, but Kenwood has set a new standard for mini amps with this series. Miguels
good to know it cost less. i have the pbr 300x2 i got for tweeter use but if it puts up numbers like this one i can use it for a ghetto home theater this little beast can work for anyone wanting to upgrade stock audio. it makes lots of amps look bad my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
firebirdude
I've installed a few and have been impressed every time. SOOOOOO much better than their other release. http://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/amplifiers/kac-m1804/ That thing is rated 45WRMSx4 and only retails 50 bucks less. Thing is a piece of crap.
