What era did you discover your love for audio (home or car)? Real to Real, 8 Track, Vinyl Record, CD or MP3?

It was definitely vinyl record for me but then i raided my dads "boneyard" and had some time with the 8 tracks too. Hotel California and Kiss....maybe some Led Zepplin in the box with it :D. Cassettes were like high tech! lol

Cassettes, I'm an 80's kid.

I actually think I still have a Walkman somewhere.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I would have to say vinyl myself because my parents at the time had 4 AAL 15inch cabinets and my mom loved her Pink Floyd.

I seem to remember always trying to scratch on a pioneer turntable and getting whooped because I scratched the hell out of a SGT Peppers record, think I was around 12 or 13.

I later was giving a Sansui stereo for my room for christmas so Id leave their stuff alone.

From there it got out of hand, I remember turning my closet into a dj booth and getting lighting effects.

LOL

mostly for me too...once i got that Walkman from my grandma, it was over for the record player haha! I was broke though i used to order those free motivational tapes from the late night commercials and then dub over them with some of my "jamz" when they arrived. LOL that was a great hustle!!

Yea I had lights hung around the ceiling of my room and everything.

I think a lot of it had to do with growing up in a skating rink, it was my baby sitter, and my first job too 16 and a skating rink dj.

Still would love to open up a rink of my own one day. So many good times where had

I dont think I got my first real cassette deck until the mid 90s, i thought it was so cool because it had a button to push for open and close, it was all mechanical. Really still wish I had that Technics deck!
