I was going through the forum for idatalink today after reading Steve's post.

Here's what I found..

We are looking into it. However, at this time, we don't have a solution that will retain the safety features that are in the sync module (which is bolted to the factory screen). It is a much more complicated solution than the MyFord radios, as the sync module in those vehicles is external. Because of this, we do not have an ETA for the arrival of a solution.

So the kit just dosent fit or just dosent work due to the screen being integrated too much with your 8 inch screen?

the climate controls won't work for some reason. I wish i had a better answer. Physically i don't see why it wouldn't fit in the hole but HVAC is kinda important too :D

Gas saving comes at a cost ^_^. That alpine sure does look bad ass
