For now tho, I'm going to install the OS via USB (windows 7) than upgrade to 10. The rest of the parts should be here today. Already have the case, processor, and motherboard. I'll post pictures when they come! It's time to watch how to put together a PC :\ aha thanks! RooTxBeeR
Putting PC's together is cake. Main things you need to worry about is RAM installing and CPU installation. The RAM because the slots can be deceiving on how much pressure is required to snap a stick into place. If you feel like there too much resistance, a lot of times just a tad more will get it in. Not to much though. Then for CPU, thermal paste. You literally need the amount of a cooked grain of rice. You don't need a lot, and cleaning that shit out of tight spots is a serious BITCH On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. STEvil
Two sticks is faster than 4 in dual channel boards if the they're dual rank sticks.. I dont know if they are or not. Not more than 2% difference for the average user though. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. RainStryke
The only reason you'd want 2 higher capacity sticks over 4 lower capacity sticks is the memory controller... When you have all 4 DIMM's in use, it maxes out the memory controller and limits overclocking abilities. Otherwise, zero difference at stock speeds. Well I only used 1 2x4GB in total 8. I built the PC. Im using it now. It was so fucking hard to put in the USB 3.0 for some reason, but its built. Next is to try and get a HDD. Ill post pictures once i finish downloading everything. THanks guys! Karkov
Nice man, I run the Z87 MOBO and love it. I have that CPU as well but a worse GPU. I have exact same SSD but a 1k PSU. I also have 8 gigs of RAM but Corsair Dominator series. SHould be a good rig for you. I always build my own too but it's been a few years now. I don't game anymore so doesn't matter to me. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq.
