audiofanaticz Posted July 23, 2015 Report Share Posted July 23, 2015 I lost my dad to cancer didn't really know him after the divorce. Seen him once every other month it seemed like as a kid, haven't really heard much from him once I was 18. When I did see him it was a trip to the restaurant for some lunch and then the mall with $5.00 to play some arcade games and back home in about 2hours or less. Cant say I really batted an eye, nor was I even told when or where the funeral was until I was questioned why I wasn't at the funeral from his 2nd to last wife. Pretty pathetic but whatever, and its messed up that the same 2nd from last wife of his sends me cards here and there while his last wife nothing. It took some time I guess for her to realize who and how he was and why my mom got rid of him. I still got a half sister a couple years older than me too, but no idea on her name or where she lives except for somplace in MI I think. Never met or even spoke to her. Oh well. Life goes on! Id say sorry for your loss, but being that your relationship with him is somewhat similar to mine I dont think it would mean much to you, and Id feel out of place saying it just due to the fact that its not your loss.
