Charging rear battery bank

Recommended Posts

I have an XS Power HF1215 battery charger.

My rear battery bank consists of one XS Power D3100 and one XS Power Lithium 15K.

Can I simply connect my battery charger to the battery bank and let it charge both batteries?

Are there any concerns I need to regard with charging this battery bank?

Good question. I have keep hearing you don't wanna risk over charging a lithium. So I'm tuned in

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

The charger goes into a float mode when a battery is fully charged. It has a lower voltage that when the battery is absorbing the charge but still has to high of a continuous charge for the lithium. we have a specific lithium charger that actually cuts itself completely off once charged.

simply once the AGM charger goes into float mode. pull it off the lithium and your ready to go! B)

Interesting stuff, good to know! I asked similar question a while back and got myself all confused, this explains it quite well, thanks!

Even the first time you get it home and hook it on the charger? it's not like charging a capacitor?

maybe my thinking is just way off today, idk anymore.......
