Parker Smith
They are within $20 of each other but I want to know which one would truly be the better option. If the RP actually puts out 1500 watts or more, my common sense tells me it would be in fact the better purchase. Will the RP even do rated? The guts look good I'll be getting an RP in the mail pretty soon, will post gut shots, and hope to get it tested for RMS at 1 ohm. I thought it was strange that they post amp dyno's of their SK1500.1's overperforming on burst tests but I haven't found a SINGLE one of their RP line which claims almost the same RMS. I'll post here when I have it, that way we all know what's up on these things. Edited January 14, 2016 by Chubbza5
skaraudio
Both are strong amplifiers, I think you made a good choice with the RP-1500.1D if you are seeking those extra 500 watts.. The LP no doubt is a powerhouse as well, just a different amplifier.. Skar Audio www.SkarAudio.comPhone : (888) 501-7527

The guts look good The RP Series is the amp i would recommend this over the LP Series. The LP Series tends to get hot and does less power @ 1 ohm. -Shane 1 Skar Audio www.SkarAudio.comPhone : (888) 501-7527
