Very nice. People have been asking for a mounting kit or bezel for the Vu-Din for years.
some tint over the meters would also be nice. those things are bright. thats why I did mine behind 2 way mirror.

I have been putting a lot of hours into this since i got my new CNC and it is finally coming together. It's amazing how getting the holes JUST RIGHT on the VU-din was such a pain. Getting this stuff to snap together tightly and fit PERFECTLY into a single din slot took some time. I learned a new trick in the CAD program that helped me a lot and then getting a digital micrometer also helped a ton. I guess it is harder than i thought to see 1000th of an inch with the naked eye :D

Anyway, i will announce when it will be available, what colors it will be available in and of course what the price will be. It will be as cheap as i can possibly make it but just to let everyone know a 4x4 sheet of 3/8" ABS is about $140 bucks and the 3/8" Acrylic is right around the same. I will probably offer it with different color housings, with or without the "Stainless" look, and also the customer will be able to choose an MDF outer ring instead of the ABS. Just in case he wants to glass it in place. If you glass the MDF ring (see below pics, the ABS will be MDF), you can just pop in the insert and be done with it!

Here are some pics. Note- i had this extra single din opening from i THINK a Tahoe or my sons Yukon. It makes a perfect template to work from.

Let me know when you have a prototype ready need one for the 2016 SQL season asap! Looks great!!!

Oh Great! As im trying to save up. Steve, any idea since I already have 2 OM-1 & 1 VM-1 in my center console, what else this can be used for? Im rattling my brain now to figure where I would put this, obviously I don't need the entire single din setup. Thanks for making me broke! Again! ;)

they aren't bright at all. The OM-1 can get bright but the VU-Din isn't.

Your my boy bro, i know you, we are bro's......so i won't give you shit about the fact there IS tint on these in the pictures. You might wanna actually look at them. lol ;) Not because it is too bright but because i didn't wanna see the nekked circuit board.

You look like a kid in a candy store with that CNC. I can't wait to see what other things you do with that thing.

i had to apologize to the wife for spending so much time with my new girlfriend for the last 3 weeks. LOL.
