Broke_Audio_Addict
If you contacted Tony c. I'm sure he'd have no problem building you something custom using Steve's fuse blocks and his water tight box. meade916
i need some real airtight block that can stand the cleveland winters without showing any signs of corrosion even after 10 years of being under the hood I was thinking something similar. Will there be a weather-proof/resistant model at any time do you think, Steve? These can get wet without any problem. Not sure what "weather proof" is going to do for you to be honest. I would have no problem using these in a boat so i think your car will be fine. are you saying this is waterproof? theres no way i would let water near this model with the terminals all exposed it would withstand the elements but if you plan on spraying the engine bay with water, just put plastic over it, spray then remove when done. Simple. I need a fuse holder that is completely air tight I know how you like to BS and waste time though so i am not really taking you too serious right now. forreal steve I have been struggling with terminals corroding green for years in multiple cars. I have covered them in dielectric grease and tape and this prolongs their life but fail eventually I guess I could put grease on em every month and thatd do the trick I have tried different terminals from cheapo to SHCA big lugs. I have seen snafu's newest products being water tight and hoped maybe a collaboration could be easily engineered The only reason I have brought this up is because of snafus newest items in ce electric supply I wondered how hard it would be to put a fuse holder in one of these and make it real "weather resistant" meaning cleveland winters I could do it myself but that wouldnt look as good as if you did it with plexi or a volt meter. Infact if I did it myself your poops would look better. The SMD fuse holder won't corrode. Neither will the fuses i sell and they aren't anything special. I don't offer anything air tight. I don't offer anything water-tight. If i had a relay panel like Snafu does, i probably would because that is something totally different. You simply do not need it for an ANL fuse holder, at least mine you don't. If you believe you do (for some reason) than i don't know what to tell you. 98crewcab
Sup Big Steve!!! ordering a quad from you off Amazon, and the only info I could find was on page 5 of this thread said 5/16" bolts. Are they still 5/16"? ordering 1/0 lug rings as well, and want to be sure to get the right size for your masterpiece! ***edit, nevermind, just thought about it. if i order 3/8", its not like the extra 1/16th will make any difference, lol Edited July 30, 2016 by 98crewcab Quote 06 2500hd, 6.0L, 4l80e, 4wd, (muah work truck) 7" BDS HC lift kit (5) 37x13.5R18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts (5) 18x10 Moto Metal MO962 tablet in lieu of deck blue tooth interconnect to soundstream eq (for volume control and bass control) 4 Alpine type r 10's 6 cubes net, 80sqin's port, tuned to 33hz 2 brutus brx5000.5's 2 pairs 3" polk audio for a pillars 4 pairs polk audio 6.5 comps 1 pair 8" polk audio for mids 2 xspower d3400 batteries.....learning alot from meade and his circle of some of the baddest installers ive seen- thanks guys, for not being so cocky and posting the way it should be done!P.S. boom50cal
Just a random idea, suggestion to these.... Clear cover on the top, maybe make a few that have RZR instead of SMD? It's looking like I'm going to need a single and a double, but would pick up a few extra covers just incase. Idk, idea. Would be neat but no biggie if it involved a lot of cost/time to make it happen. Trying to figure out how to use as many SMD products as I can on this RZR overhead stereo/electrical center build. Evilthx
I do have an idea... Any chance you will be up for having more than one design of fuse holders? The SMD "MH" line could be a modular design... say you have two amplifiers running off a dual but want to run another amp... A single could be purchased and added to the dual making it a 3 fuse block. Or a two to a four and so on. The sides could lock together, like a puzzle piece, making two pieces a single solid block with 3 fuses or whatever the combination. Infinite expansion of the block could be had. If you want to do what you are talking about, just buy singles and put them side by side. Done. "Infinite expansion" too! lol Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong!
