WARNING windows is auto updating to windows 10

Recommended Posts

A clean fresh install is actually inserting a USB drive or cd with the install files on it, not upgrading from win7 to 10. Windows 10 is somewhat similar to windows 7, but no where near as shitty as windows 8 was to figure out.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Go to the manufacturer's website, download the driver for the touchpad. Even if they don't have a win 10 driver, a win 8 64bit driver should work. Then you'll get your scroll back.

the real answer you want is... No, dont' upgrade.

I would, and I have, but that's me. If you really wanna see what it's like, get VMware player and throw it in a virtual machine first.

would anything work better or run faster? this laptop is a CAD built machine. designed to run that well. not much else. but any extra speed i can squeeze out of it without hardware upgrades im for as long as i dont get a bloatware filled machine.

You will have to figure that out yourself. I don't know your rig, and if there's any issues you will run into.

If you are that eager, just make a disk image before you upgrade, then. If you don't like it, restore the image you made.

I updated and had to leave, gotta figure out the touchpad because for some reason multu-toich isn't working anymore but will have to see.

It took away my mouse pointer, and it took me an hour to get it back. Thanks Windows for an auto update that I didn't want.
