It's not fair to just go "here it as all pretty" with out ever showing the HOW of it all.

Most folks don't even understand the gritty-grimey-dirty side of fabrication from scratch/raw materials...thus they don't value it as a skillset...then they try it themselves and go "well golly jeez it looked so easy when THOSE guys did it?"

If by showing the ugly, rough, ass-end of something, and HOW to get it to the "pretty" final product, I can help the next guy put together a better setup...I'm a happy camper. I value this forum and will always do my best to put forth a contribution. I gave some $$ a while back but I aint a rich mofo so I can't really afford to keep doin that...doin this makes me feel like less of a MOOCH who just shows up and gawks at what others do and never put into the knowledge/build/ info pot.

HAHAHAHA, NAH I wouldn't do that 2 ya.

1: He already had the 6x9's. (2 pairs, one set is in his VW Bug and he likes how they sound in there)

2: They were über cheap.

3: The SUBWOOFER concept was not in the works/plans at the time he bought the 6x9s as mids and His idea was "these will provide SOME bass", if not, the MOST avail in this setup if it didnt have subs...which would be correct until I came along and said "4-8's sucka!"

The design/idea here is/was to get a some mids in the door space w/ out angling them inward so as not to lose any leg room...hence no inward angle, but the Fglass and pocket n such kinda gives it a retro/newer look with the curves and still retains the Old school look.....just wait for the mounting hardware-It's pretty much oldschool lookin but pretty nice as well.

I got a lil glassing done on the OTHER (passenger side)

It has a lot of catching up to do.

STAPLING these staples in with the STAPLER would split the 1/4" mdf...so I had to tap each one in BY HAND with a tiny hammer. yay.

I shot the Driver side which is aaaalllllmost done....with BEDLINER, so now it has some nice "texture" to it...I was not feeling the "glassy smooth" yellow...so there's some texture...then it will get grey primered again and then re-sprayed YELLOW.....& since the box is bed-linered I think this will match pretty well and maybe we'll hit the box with some yellow too?
