How many batteries are you guys running on a 5k

Jus tryna see how many and what kind of batteries people are using to help their alternator out with a korean 5k board.

what kinda alternator and battery combos are ya running and what kinda voltage drop ya gettn

Looking to order some myself soon.

Just cant seem to justify to myself to pay 350 bucks a group 31. thinking about going with some exide xmc-31s, about 220 new

I had been looking around for a solid second battery as well and found this:

If you have a batteries plus around you, they will do the 10% off in the store. It's better than that exide battery you are looking at. It's basically a rebadged Northstar battery. It also comes with a 5 year warranty.

5k id want biggest alt you can get and 2-3 3100batts.

I ran a 270A alt and two G31 batteries. Granted, I generally only saw draw peaks of ~200-250A, but that's normal for most daily guys wired at .7ohm or higher.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.
