What could be wrong

Recommended Posts

My laptop has been acting up lately. I will be typing something and the screen will go to sleep. If I move the screen back and forth a few times it comes back to life. What could cause this? Do I have a wire that's been pinched ? It's annoying to have this happen a few times a day. Thanks for any help.

Check for a settings named "hard disk to go to sleep", I used to have a problem, even thought I set my sleep and hibernate to never ever happen. The PC would still turn off. Found out there is a setting deeper in the power & options settings that will turn off the HDD which then turns the pc off. Check that out. Simply "hardrive goes to sleep" in google will, at least for me, have in the search a way to stop that from happening. If that is the case.
