Sundown 8's help

Hey everyone I'm doing a build in a 2000 chevy ext cab. 4 8's under the back seat and was looking at the sundown line. I have a scv 6000 already hooked up and ready to go and was looking at either 4 of the x 8's v2 or 4 of the sa 8's v3 running the amp at 2 ohms so the subs would see about 3k. was looking at the specs of each sub and they are similar the x 8 just has alittle bigger motor, coil, and xmax but the sa8 seemed to be more of an spl sub than the x8 by the surround. Was wondering what subs i should get and is the $50 more for the x8 worth it or not?

Sa series need ported enclosure. And I suggest the X series on ported as well

4 won't fit under the seat ported even if you did the seat lift

I would port either way i have room to port where the hump is where the transmission on the truck is where i would put the port.

But I'm saying you don't have enough space for 4

are you talking not enough box space for each sub? don't the x8's need .75 cu ft or something along those lines ?

Sas need .75 and so do the xs. But that net. So,you figure 4 subs equals 3 cubes. Plus displacements. I'd personally.put the X in a slightly bigger box. But you.are.looking at probably 4-4.5 gross area

oh got it, so even with a seat raise you think i could get enough for the x 8's.

the sa's need .5-.75 so i think i could put that off cause there is about 1.2 cubic feet on each side from my measurements. so sa 8 it probably has to be to sound good u think?

From my experience with the sa8, it does best in .75 cubes with 14" of port
