Anybody ever run one at 0.5 ohm?

I'm about to order a pair of 15" fi Qs and don't know if should run a .5 ohm load or 1 ohm load.

Can the amp handle .5 ohm loads?

This is for a Chevy Colardo. I'm a little iffy because it'll be running off the stock alt. Leaving the original battery under the hood, and adding 4 XS Power XP750s. Using 2 runs of 1/0 for (+) from front to back, big 3, all that good stuff. My gut is telling me to run it at 1 ohm but I want to get the most out of the amp.

Thanks in advance fellas

i currently am running it @ .5 and it hates it. it will work but if you get on it right away it will cut out into protect.

i just slowly warm it up then destroy it. but it will turn on past 1/2 on my lc-1 with gain at about 2/3.

That's the answer I was looking for. I wanted to run it at .5, but I know the electrical I'll be using isn't the greatest. I'll stick to a 1ohm lead. I'm sure, my buddy won't notice the difference, i hope. Thank you for your quick response

What's your electrical like, and did you use a dd1 or oscope to set your gains?
