SCATHED
Just as the title says. Has anyone ran a DC level 3 12" in 1.25 cubes net? Seems small for a 12" sub but that's what DC recommends for them
CstrokerV
i ran mine each 1.5 .. and this build if i ever finish might be the 1.25 not sure yet might keep it at 1.5 if i can Quote my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
MrSkippyJ
If that's what they recommend then it should work. What's your plan for the port? SCATHED
I'll be running two of these subs so either a single 6" aero, two 4" aeros, or a slot port
MrSkippyJ
I'm not great at ports but that seems a little low for port area. Hopefully someone that knows their stuff can help out a bit more. I had 2 lvl 4 12s with a single 8" aero and it wasn't nearly enough. Different subs I know, but still. walwalka
2 6in aeros seems to be the sweet spot. SCATHED
I usually try to stay between 9 and 12 inches per square foot with aero ports. Do these subs require more port area?
walwalka
I run two 4in for a single FI SSD 12 right now. It loves it. MrSkippyJ
like I said I'm not the person to offer much in the advice of port design, but I'm pretty sure you can't just use a per square foot formula to figure out port area. That seems to ignore lots of variables.
