tmacg12345
well before yall say it.. im stupid. after over a year i finally decided to pop open and inspect the 10k's. well.. a cap has blown. when i first saw the amp i had assumed the mark on the cover was some stain from Im not sure what (stupid i know). Im not here to bash crescendo, because they decided to take a look at the amp even though its been over a year, but this amp was clearly used before i purchased. i paid $2400 for a blown amp that looks like it had been used and abused. here's to hoping crescendo is fair to me. ? WalledSonic
Compared to the cost of all your equipment, the cost of repairing an amp is relatively inexpensive. Best of luck to you, sir. tmacg12345
but besides all that.. i started mocking up the amp rack. trying to get a feel for what exactly i want to do. I like the tilted stacked look though. Im thinking two batteries up top and two hidden below.

tmacg12345
Just a small update.. crescendo inspected the amp and found the blown capacitor and replaced it. they replaced the back cover and tested the amp. (98xx watts on 12v @1ohm 40hz tone) they also sent a box of goodies and fixed and paid for the shipping no charge to me. all in all im pretty happy with crescendos customer service. I have the amp rack pretty much completed i just need to take some pictures. the design is simple but it ended up looking pretty cool. looks like the amps are floating. once i get the amp rack installed Im hooking them up to the single 40k batt and doing a short test on 20k cause I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE. it'll probably just be a 10 second burst but ill put it on the ssa meter and post a vid of the results. i hope the windshield gets ripped in half.
