oldsoundguy
Any more updates on this build. I also own a 99 toyota extra cab. I had a question though. I thought it was not a good idea to mount the amp to the box??? I have just built a box for a single 8" sub because I need one jump seat in the rear for my kids to sit in. I want to remove the Rockford Fosgate P1000X5 from under the passenger seat and put it behind the drivers seat. Can I mount it to a piece of birch ply ( left over from the sub box build) and attatch it to the box?? Should there be some kind of rubber isolator between the sub box and amp rack board? Sorry for all the questions but I really need to get it out from under the seat. The amp rack is fastened to the box with just 2 screws to keep it from falling forward. It is temporary because he has not decided what he is going to do yet. Regardless, i never have a problem doing this because my boxes don't vibrate. If your box vibrates, it is probably not a good idea. Mine don't so it really isn't an issue. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong!
