Voltage dips

Details. What amp? What subs? What ohm load? Volt meter being used? Ground location? Stock Battery?

Check your grounds. I'm on about 3k with the stock alt and two big agms. Mine typically only drops down to 13v on heavy bass but the other day it started going into protect. Turns out one of the shca 1/0 to 1/0 inputs had come kinda loose. Tightened it all back up and it works great. No way that should put that much of a strain on your alt, especialy at 2ohm.

Put my meter on everything found front battery at rest a little over 13 volts. Checked battery in the back 12 volts turned on truck checked again. Around 14 volts charging in front battery but still 12 volts in the back. Turned it up ave saw it dip into 10's and protect light would start coming on.

check the fuse or the connections on the rear battery..

by the way.. no common sense. you see that the rear is at 12v even with the car running and you still turn your amp on
