Mosley_23
I recently bought a mechman 240 amp and I got it hooked up yesterday. First there is a small whine noise coming from the alternator it's self. Also it's getting really hot and smells like it's burning coating off of something. It's this normal for a new high output alternator. Sorry for a dumb question this is my first ho
s5300
Always confused on why people come here for issues with very well known brands. Call their phone number, yo. Nobody knows their stuff like they do. Not trying to be a dick, just sayin.

Mosley_23
And I come here because I'm sure there's other people here that has had the same problem and know either a solution or can tell me I'm fine. Rather than call them and stop production to answer what could be a simple question.
Miguels
high output alternators have a whine to it when they spin did you recharge the battery like it says on the instructions? are you sure the burnt smell is from the alternator and not a wire you moved near a heat source? my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
