Kyblack76 Posted March 31, 2016 Report Share Posted March 31, 2016 After a long drive time, or after a 9 hour show, my alts would spit out the smell of the powder coating, and fuck yes get warm.......... had i kept that build, i would have cut vents in the hood..... cant imagine the heat made from people running and hammering on quads.......... but electrical smell.. no...., mine was the coating, which, i gave zero fucks about, and would crack the hood when demoing for hours on end. Masterbasser Posted March 31, 2016 Report Share Posted March 31, 2016 make sure ya read the insctructions that came with the alternator and follow everything on there, there is a reason for everything that is on the instruction sheet. i decided to ignroe 1 of the things and it messed mine up when i first got it. I had 2 ring terminals 1 of which was not the correct inner diameter on the charging stud and they arced together eventually melting the stud down. mechman was pretty cool and we split repair cost.
