sicrides6
I'm running a 98 c1500 pickup. it had a second battery tray from the factory that I'm now adding a second battery to. Would I benefit from running a big 3 set up on my second under the hood battery as well or is the original big 3 kit on my main battery enough? ShadeTreeMechanic
I would put the same size wire on the second battery as you used in your big 3. Just wire your second battery in parallel with the first. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
sicrides6
That's xs power 0 awg and I already have that connecting the two batteries but was trying to figure out if I should do a second big3 set up on the second battery as well
ShadeTreeMechanic
The big three should be good for anything you add to the system including amps and extra batteries. The big 3 is really a benefit to the alternator for the most part. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Ron36
Never a bad idea to add more solid grounds and big power wire. 2022 Ford Maverick on 22’s Skar SK1500.1 on 4 Skar VD-8’s Mids Sundown Super tweeters, Skar TX 6.5 components on Skar SKM400.4 LC2 for audio control , XS Power D680 XS Series Extra Battery
White Lightning
On my 97, I had my grounds identical. No more than the length of the batteries directly to the frame. Yes, it can be done ...
