Mr. Meade Killin' it all around.

Side note. Credit scores piss me off. If you are good at living in debt you will have a good score. Make your payments ontime keep your debt going for a while...yadda yadda. If you live off of cash no debt your score is 0... go figure.

no. If you pay your bills OFF fast like i do, it isn't "living in debt". I hardly call paying a 6 year loan (My Lex) off in 2 years "living in debt". Same for my RZR, paid it in 1.5 years on a 5 year loan. Not in debt. But i got 800 credit out of it. If you live off cash nobody has documented, (shareable) proof that you are trust-able. Credit is just proof whether you are, or are not trustable. If you have none there is no way to establish either way. Doesn't mean you are or aren't...just no way for someone to be able to see for sure.

I hear what you are trying to say though.

I get it but its a rigged game. My credit score is in the mid 700's and the biggest hit to it is that I don't have an open account older than 3.5 years. reduces my score by 30 pts. or so. Even though all accounts paid on-time or in full with no issues. its also pretty crappy your insurance company uses it to determine your costs.

Either way sorry for getting the thread off track a bit. You are doing it right and should be commended.

i will give you that. That is some bullshit i agree. I know that i have also seen my score go DOWN after i paid something off. It's like they wanted me to keep a payment. But usually a few months after that it goes back up. Oh well.

So I'm an 800 credit guy. It's 805 right now. If I charge 1500 to my card I get an 811. If I pay it off back to 805. I've done this three times. Because I take the credit card points on big purchases then pay them off next billing cycle.

First things first. Due to me using up valuable "aftermarket" funds to make my down payment on this caddy, i will have to wait a bit before i can get the 26's i want. For now, I called my buddy Jay from next door and asked if he would black out my stock 22's for me. Of course he said "when, tomorrow good?" So today, we did it!

I didn't just wanna slap a bunch of black paint on them and call them done. I decided 2 tone would look best. We did a combo of gloss (black color matched) on the main body of the wheel and flat black on the spoke inserts. Check out the pics below to see how they turned out!

And as always, this is not a "what should i do" post. It is a "check out what i did" post. So save what you "would have done" for your own ride. No offense :)

HOE-LEE-SHIT!!!! what a difference! and love the gloss/matte combo! Took that "rolled off the dealer lot" look off of her!

Did he have to do any prep to the finish before spraying? The chrome looked pretty shiny/smooth.....or did he use some kind of self etching primer?

First let me start out by saying, i haven't had a car payment in 2.5 years. I paid my last car off so fast i have been off the hook for a while now. I have been thinking of a new Tahoe for a few years but i wanted to wait until the body style was new. Today, we officially recieved our US Patent for the SMD DD-1 so i decided to go ahead and just take a look at what is out there. The Tahoes were all very nice. But when i got in the Escalade it was game over. But it was a little out of my budget. I was trying to talk them down just a little but he said he had an all black, fully loaded 2015 (used) with only 20,000 miles on it. He asked if i was interested...i said HELL YA, as long as it wasn't a smoker or dog owner (well at least the dog didn't ride in it). I don't like used car smells, i like new car smells. But this thing is basically still new. Smells new and i got 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty on it. I got a pretty good deal i think :D

But that is beside the point. I am already thinking of what i want to do. Already called my boys at Wilwood brakes before i even got there just in case i did get something :D Who knows how long before i can start anything on it, i have to settle into having a car payment again before i spend money on it. I already got the post car-purchase jitters right now. But that happens every time.

to be continued!

Oh, just to let you guys know, i worked my ass off for this 800 score! I finally touched it! Not bad from someone who had no hope of being above 500 at one time.

Congrats on the new truck Steve. I love the new Caddie too. If I wasn't trying to buy a house here in the next year or so I would totally love to get a new ride. Even used that Caddie is out of my budget, but a 2015 Burban would be more my style anyway since I enjoy the bigger space. I can't wait to see what you do with this as far a sound upgrades, but I will indeed be paying attention to this for possible future ideas when I get my new truck.
