Dc amps woth the cost?

Recommended Posts

My used DC 3.5k has stood up to me doing stupid shit to it on purpose, wiring it to .5 ohms and seeing voltage well into the 9s repeatedly.

Plus, being a total dumbass when I first installed it a screw driver was touching the pos and neg speaker bolts coming out of my box oops, the amp

went into protect instead of frying.

DC audio amps are worth the money cause they are tough almost moron proof, and they have great custom service.

4 way protection circuitry is the norm lol.. But I agree, their CS is on point.

True but I've owned other amps where the protect doesn't kick in til the amp is toast... Some of the older MTX amps were famous for it.

Then there isnt a "protect" kicking in.

Every board thats worth a heap of dicks will protect at least 3 ways............ low volt, high volt/thermal , low impedance.......

A 140$ board you buy at the pawn shop will do most of these........

I wont get into "worth the price" shit..... run what you wanna run, and be happy, or dont. Period.

U get what u pay for buy cheep and get cheep power , it is what it is , I've learned after dropping a lot of money on brands like hifonics and mtx but stepped up to true good power and there is a big difference in performance.
