Port position which side loudest for passenger?

Open hatch SUV (Trailblazer/Envoy) subwoofer up, port back.

Sub on left side of box, port on right = loudest for passenger?

or

Sub on right side of box, port on left = loudest for passenger?

Simple question just need a simple answer thanks! :good:

The simple answer.....

The long drawn out answer (for you not me)

Build rebuild and build again... A few times with testing between each time. Then tell us the results.

For each vehicle and setup in said vehicle the results can be and will be different. Only testing will show what will work for you and the equipment your using

Typically port on drivers side (and woofer too if possible) will be louder to the passenger seat (or the windshield/kick panel if you where to meter/compete).

It gives the sound wave more travel distance and time to expand thus resulting in it being louder.

Reflections, travel distance has nothing to do with it.

Thinking is the root of all problems...
