Lithium1 Posted July 11, 2016 Report Share Posted July 11, 2016 I have two alpine type X's with a American bass vfl 4480 hybrid amp. I forget what model my head unit is but it has 5v pretty outs. I plan to put these in a 2002 Bonneville so I can have a car for music. Will the amp be enough to power both? Any tips or trick to get louder is always appreciated. Bayuk89 Posted July 12, 2016 Report Share Posted July 12, 2016 Have a properly build enclosure for the alpines.... The amp you have will work fine as a starter. Run 1/0 (or 2/0) welding cable for power and grounds and also for the big 3 (there is a thread on here how to do the big 3, its pinned in the electrical section) You will have a good starter system and when your ready, you can upgrade to s better quality amp and add a second battery.
