The chronograph is the Termlab of the firearms world. Unless you need to, don't chase numbers. They will defeat even the strongest man.

TRUF

Certainly not a necessity I just thought it'd be neat to compare real life results to factory ratings.. Eventually I am going to get into reloading

Even when you get into reloading it's not needed. I went my first 7 years of reloading with no chrono. I only use mine a couple times a year. If you want to measure fps just because, that's cool. But you'll find that the manufactures specs are pretty spot on. There's no need for an Amp Dyno in the firearms industry. Liars just get taken out back and shot. That and we've had regulating bodies in this industry for decades

The only reason I use mine is to measure power factor for matches and to keep my subsonic a below the subsonic range. It gets borrowed more than I use it.

I guess my biggest motivating factor is the fact that a lot of the ratings are based upon full size 10mm pistols as far as speed/power.. Not a whole lot of ratings around compact/subcompact 10mm what ever you want to call the G29 .. So it just seemed like it'd be cool to compile my own data just for sake of having it

I know there are some g29 tests but not very many

From a g29 to g20 you're losing less than 50 fps. It's not even worth worrying about

Oh I figured it'd be more than that losing almost 1.5" of barrel
