Most day's i don't even look at it. We provide technical support through D'Amore Engineering. We generally don't prefer walk in's. We are very busy over here and when i stop to talk to people, that means production is stopping and i can't have that. Best bet is to send it in. TonyD'Amore Posted August 15, 2016 Report Share Posted August 15, 2016 Hi guys, if you are having trouble with your AMM-1 please email [email protected] with the problem, serial number and firmware revision OR read on below. The initial release firmware had a problem with reading burps or bursts of power, (on class D amps especially) the inductive kickback from the woofers causes a big voltage and current spike at the end of a burp which the AMM-1 would read as power. Once we discovered this problem we revised the firmware on all future builds and for anyone that wanted to send theirs in for the update. It seems that the update makes it hard to read power on some amplifiers as we have been learning of this issue recently. I have built a new firmware version that seems to address both issues I believe, that is firmware 3.92. I also modified it for a few people with impedance shown simultaneously on the two power screens. It works the same as the old code (though no "dyno complete" message) in dyno mode. This is 3.93 If you want 3.93 in your AMM-1 so that you can measure music and bursts (not the original intent of the tool) just send it to me with a note in the box with your return address. It would work sometimes and then sometimes it would just read 0 or a really small number. I just assumed it was the bullshit RF the amp spews out. I'll have to see what firmware mine has on it. Also what do you mean music, I thought that's what the live power/ dyno features were for?
