AzureX
Using an o-scope would be a valid method, The other method they told you to use is bullshit. Good luck hearing 1% distortion with your ears, especially at 50hz. Lol yeah I know right? lol
05accord6spd
Yea they replied in email and all they had to say was tune it by ear and the chip makes it not work with dd1 :L same thing said over the phone.
05accord6spd
This amp seems to be the same as the Polk audio 1000.1 wonder if that amp does the second thing. And I wonder who truly makes the amp. Could call and ask them if I knew
audiofanaticz
Ive used my DD-1 and DD-1+ on a few NVX amps before, not dont recall the models but never had an issue. Almost sounds like you have your ssf turned to high up or your lpf turned to low and your blocking out the 40hz signal Actually never came across an amp they didnt work on.

Have the SSF at 20hz which is all the way down and the LPF set to 320 I believe or whatever the maximum frequency is. I get the Signal light and the 40hz light. 05accord6spd
Still don't get how sonic electronics came to the results this amp does 1300+ @ 1ohm if the dyno doesn't register distortion??? Fairly sure nvx and sonic owe me a explanation.. they have sold a shit load of these amps and no one seems to know about the dd1 problem Edited August 12, 2016 by 05accord6spd
n8ball2013
Maybe it's not really a problem. Or maybe people aren't using a dd1 on them. Let's be real. The amp costs 200 bucks. The dd1 cost as much as the amp. I'm guessing the number of people who have tried this are few and far between since it's not marketed for people who would. It's an entry level amp with an entry level cost. I'd love to see tony d come in and drop knowledge though. 2 Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
