As I'm sure you all have noticed, photobucket.com decided to screw all of their users and disabled 3rd party hotlinking.  I'll be working on revamping this thread when I have time but I'm currently very busy with a new business venture, this build, and numerous other things. So it may be a while.

But anyway, a lot has happened since the last update.

I did a bit of work to clean up the engine and bay before the show I posted about previously:

Got the dash reinstalled and fully bolted in. Gained .3db from it...the 157.3 i posted previously was with cold alternators and my charger hooked up.   

After the dash, it did a 157.6 at 37hz, alternators hot and no charger! I don't have a picture but I have a live video of it on Facebook here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154547410776791&id=613146790

Here's where I did some work on sealing off the cab. Still not finished yet but got a good start:

Swung by my buddy's new business 920cnc to help him do some R&D with Baltic birch. 

Decided to add a pair of super tweeters to my mids and highs.  I recently got the crossovers dialed in and it's sounding absolutely incredible but I want to see if adding a pair of these and keeping them at low volume will add a bit to the really high frequency treble and make things sound a bit more crisp. Hoping that keeping them barely audible over the rest of the mids and highs will keep them from sounding harsh.
Had to cnc some split rings for mounting:

While I was there, the outside door handle broke. I removed it and used ca glue to repair it

Also ca glued the window cranks in hope that they'd stop rattling apart lol

Did a bit of testing on the termlab magnum to verify the validity of the spl lab scores...while I was able to verify the spl lab was accurate, I let a friend talk me into doing a full tilt 50hz burp sealed before doing the partial volume tests I had planned.  Ended up blowing up the orion. I'm guessing that it was actually vibration that killed it though since when I opened up the case I found a component floating around. 

Unfortunately I just sold the warhorse so no backup amp.  Was a sad day seeing it go.

But onto bigger things...

A few days before this, I had been talking with Rusty about potentially taking this build to the next level and adding 2 more 18" Neo Elites...and replacing the orion with 4 DC Audio 5ks.  I was still considering it when this happened.  After I spoke with him again, I decided to pull the trigger and he will be shipping out 4 5ks on Wednesday  (which also happens to be my birthday!).

I also decided I will be painting my truck satin black and putting 1 massive lime green dc logo on each side of it. The logos will be similar to the one on this t-shirt: https://dcaudio.myshopify.com/products/green-distortion-t-shirt

I will be ordering 2 more Neos just like mine in about 2 months since the rebuild won't start till after show season.

I also struck a deal with my friend Geoff who owns project db to buy 8 more banks of xs power supercells from him and will be picking them up in a couple of weeks.  He will also be making me custom buss bars for the capacitors. 

I'm planning on adding 2 or 3 more alternators and considering converting to 18v and replacing my agms with lithium.  

Now I just need to line up an alternator sponsor and a lithium sponsor, so if anyone knows anyone... lol
