Lol, I thought you were tubbing for bigger wheels! That might be the 1st time I've seen some one put in smaller than stock wheel wells.

Back at it again.  Special thanks goes out to Harbor Freight for having a set of tamper proof torx sockets! Finally got this son of a bish out! I cannot fathom why 7 big ass safety torx bolts and 2 10mm bolts were need to secure the friggin air bag control module. It's not like this is a military F16's black box or some shit!

Oh and my latest order of lugs and loom showed up the other day... Got lugs? Lol

Got a ton accomplished today!

Called in the reinforcements! My good friend Jeremiah (of JFab) came by to do what he does best! This freed me up to work on the door panels, plus, he's a much better welder than I am Hahaha.

20170520_143328_zps6brtb9lp.jpg

Disassembled the door panel to use as a template and test fitting so I can trim off whats needed. Thanks to Nissan's design, most of the work was done for me already!

20170520_163408_zpsecg8idba.jpg

Simple tracing and cutting operation like kindergarten lol

20170520_163423_zpswlrtwgjm.jpg

Wheel wells are all welded in!  Just have to do some grinding and paint them!

20170520_171536_zpsz6wc5gw5.jpg

Much better welds then I could lay!  And most of this was done with my welder outta wack (wire feeding issues caused by incorrect adjustments, due to my lack of experience lol).

Baltic Birch door panel fit perfectly the first time!!!

20170520_185403_zpsttfcmw6g.jpg

Going to frame it with angle iron...there will be screws along the perimeter into the edges of the wood...plus more bolts

20170520_192817_zpsnlaenkyk.jpg

A shot of how the wood fits in the angle iron.

20170520_192825_zpsfseg3gw2.jpg

Cut a piece of 1/2" square tubing to reinforce the window opening and getting ready to tack it in

20170520_203415_zpslvsewkv3.jpg

Tacked in, ground down so I can test fit the interior panel.  Jeremiah will finish welding it in tomorrow

20170520_211632_zps8zswyn39.jpg

Interior panel fits like a glove!

20170520_213413_zpsknqcqhjo.jpg

Perfect, will be able to tie it in with the plate I'll be making for the mirror section!

That's all from today, more updates tomorrow!

About to start another long day of working on the truck.  Jeremiah is coming over again to do some more welding and my sbc expert buddy will be coming by to help button up the rest of the things needed to make it drivable!

Got 2 packages today, wheel spacers are here and my new toy, a tapping attachment for my drill press!  Unfortunately when I ordered the wheel spacers I forgot to check if they were hubcentric, I'll probably end up buying new ones, but at least these should get me by for the time being and I'll be able to tell if I need skinnier ones.

Those welds though! So much prettier than what I could have done
20170521_191854_zps4ma8x5zk.jpg

So much steel going on this bad boy!
20170521_191904_zps9qyjdlfx.jpg

So one of my biggest worries is that my box rise is going to be as high or higher than expected and that I won't be able to wire the dual 1 ohm coils I picked for my neos low enough for the warhorse to make full power.

I ended up picking this up from a buddy to help him out and because it was a good deal...even though I can still only wire to 1/4 of rated impedance, if the rise is higher than expected,  this should make more power than the warhorse.  It also gives me an option if the rise is significantly less than expected.

Got the throttle cable hooked up and the tps adjusted

Buss bars are good to go for the engine bay, I will be drilling and tapping them to 5/16 at some point when I get my tap attachment set up, but for now this will work.

Just have to mount them in the engine bay, one will go on top of each wheel well...passenger side will be ground, driver side will be positive.

Headed back out to the garage shortly to hopefully get her road worthy tonight!
