What track when over powering subs?

Recommended Posts

I dont see the point of overpowering your subs if youre contemplating turning down your amps gain anyway.

-7.5dB. Use your senses.

and like Kyle said, LEARN your gear and know your music.

Edit: I just saw that youre wired to 1 ohm nominal. You arent seeing much power at all. Dont be worried.

Wurd.... wired at 1ohm? fuck, use -10 and be kinda smart.
lower power with box rise? What kind of power do you think the subs are actually seeing then? Right now I'm set with a -2.5db track just feel like -5db might do a little better.

Assuming you have 2.5 - 3x rise and hold decent voltage, ohms law claims that youre seeing 650 - 800 watts. To the pair.

So far the clip light on the remote doesn't even flash at all even at max uncliped hu volume now that's with the amp set with a -2.5db track, would just like to get a little more on quite tracks and some tracks feel like they could do a Lil more. So probably do at lest -5db and back down the sub level on the hu to be safe on loud tracks I don't like using the bass knob other then the clip light.

With given power the subs are seeing should the subsonic filter be set closer to the tunning? I went with what the cc1 manual said but a little higher I set it at 28hz low bass is pretty good just been going easy and haven't went full tilt yet. Most people telling me with the box tuned to 35hz to set the ssf at 25hz but I feel like that being maybe if I was running only the subs rms not over.

If I used my SSF, itd be set 1/2 octave under tuning. For you, that would be 26hz
