08 SILVERADO BUILD (ZAPCO/STEVENS AUDIO)

Recommended Posts

Do you have a list of what factory integration stuff you used for the head unit? I have a '12 sierra and want to put in a new radio and want to do it right and keep all my chimes and bluetooth etc.

I went to best buy for the harness, can't remember which number it was, but it had the onstar, steering controls and chime box. It was like 130 bucks. But I have use of everything as factory, except I turned my chime off cause it's irritating, lol. I also bought the Metra dash kit, it fits better than the others and has the brackets for the side supports.

Thanks.

No problem, happy to help.

Love the tweeter location. Just hope it's optional ...

Mine worked best at the very top of the sails ...

Thanks bro! I actually Lazer pointed to the top middle of each pillar, while managing to not get obstruction from the dash and steering wheel. I thought about more on the pillars but to get them above the dash hump they'd be kinda high for my aesthetic liking. These little pods are right in the doors and out of view, so the give a Factory look. I still may wrap my pillars to get rid of the factory tweeter cover, but that's later down the line.

  • 2 weeks later...

i saw that zapco DSP and was like that's not old school! but those amps make up for it thru and thru. just raw a/b power.

Pods came out sweet..I've never sanded past 320 grit .lol

you got to wet sand to at least 600 on anything painted. i sand to 400 on items getting vinyl wrapped.
