WalledSonic Posted May 25, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2017 Pulled my amp today so I can check the box tuning with this IM-SG. So I took a lot of box and port measurements and dumped all the information into TermLab while I was building the box. Program says I'm tuned to 33Hz. But the IM-SG says I am tuned to 26Hz with the windows down (Daily Driver style). The subs' stock fs is 26Hz, so this is the best news I've received today! The results were so far off I went back outside and checked DC resistance on each sub to make sure I hadnt blown one (creating a passive radiator and dropping the frequency). I moved my old 6.5" CDT speakers from my front door and installed them in the rear doors. The old coaxials that were in the rear door are going in my garage at a later date. Got some single to dual 8AWG adapters for my sub leads Also made a shelf that stands over my mid amp so I gained the space back behind the passenger seat. Didnt get vinyl laid yet, but I finished the layout for Slam: Power from front, power to relayed fuse panel, and power to sub amp: Mid & tweet amps: Other views The amp rack may get a different stain (to match the door pods) or I may get a bigger amp. The floor and walls are getting vinyl. Thanks man. The windshield doesnt budge, the pinch seam is solid, and the corner doesnt leak anymore. This brace and the welded pinch seam combined have really shored up the flex this car had. Havent made a decision yet since I cant fit much larger in the trunk. I may have to go to 2 small amps, but I sure would like an Ampere 9.0 TFHE...
