All that pc and Ive still yet to see a positive k/d :D

fuck off i been positive a lot lately. Might be an exact 1.0 but i been gettin them. Its just hard to climb out of that hole once your K/D gets destroyed early in the season. I feel like i am getting more kills with the new video cards though. I can see better than before and it's smoother. But i still got a DEEP hole to climb out of. SMH LOL

Lmao, he's got this shit titled as "simple". OK LOL Dank stuffs

When i say "simple", i say that because i didn't go full loop on the liquid cooling again (YET). :D The last one really held me back when it was "upgrade" time. When the cards are on air, they are so easy! When they have hoses coming off them and water blocks bolted to them (and bolted together), it becomes a bitch. I have been wanting new cards since the 980's were out. I do want to run another custom loop because there is no denying how cool your cards stay compared to air. Especially if you overclock everything like i do. But i want to wait for the next latest greatest to come out first. I want to enjoy an easy upgrade at least one more time before i lock myself in for life by hooking up hoses lol.

As simple as it is, it really gets the job done lol...and i thought i would never give my baby away to anyone. It was my pride and joy. It is now Antheny's. Team badass #hammydown ftw.

That makes a lot more sense now lmao. I had plans on throwing some water into my set up but never did. If I ever where to have to swap them out, you go it right, would be very easy when they are on air.

I don't know what made me do it...but i decided i really wanted those new 1080ti's that came out months ago.  This allowed me to put both of my old GTX1080's (from this build) into one of my shop PC's.  That thing is no slouch to begin with but now it can be considered a true gamer with 2 in SLI (among it's other decent stats).  This also free'd up the 1070gtx that WAS in the shop PC so can upgrade my son to (2) 1070GTX in SLI. We all win :D  Anyhow here is a few pics of the swap.

Ok the first thing i did was remove the old GTX1080's.

there is my main hard drive...1TB in the size of a small USB stick :D

Ok that is done! up and running good! Now it is time to put those OLD 1080's in my work PC.  When i say "one of" that is because i have about 6 at the shop. One of them is my old Alienware and it even has 2 video cards in SLI.  I'm a gamer what can i say :D  But my most recent shop PC, the one i sit in front of all day by the CNC, is getting this upgrade. That PC has VERY gamable parts, including a GTX 1070 already in it.  NOW it will have a major upgrade. Why? why not :D  Also, when i am running LONG files (4-6hrs or more) on the CNC and i cannot go anywhere out of sight of it, it is nice to have something to do. Who wouldn't wanna play BF1 in FULL ultra mode while at work? Plus it also runs a 2nd monitor with other stuff such as my cameras on it.

IMG_4852.JPG

oh, this pc is no slouch already :D

IMG_4854.JPG

gotta love how i can just pull some PCI-E power cables out of my ass at any given moment.  I have so many lying around from all my builds over the years. :D

IMG_4855.JPG

1 GTX 1070FTW next to the new setup the 2 1080's.  My work PC > yours. hahah JK :D

well bad news...the 1070GTX FTW edition and the regular 1070GTX don't work in my son's PC.  I think he has a PCI slot out.  PLUS, one is bigger than the other which means the HB bridge doesn't line up.  Even with ribbons though, it doesn't want to work.  His mainboard is probably messing up.  So i gave him the FTW edition for now and maybe we will build him a new gaming pc and put those in.  Anyhow, that is my nerdy pc update!

With your build, 3DMARK with FireStrike Extreme.

Since you're running ASUS overclocked cards, you'll also want to get ASUS GPUTweak II, not so much for the overclocking, but for turning the fans to a very aggressive state. The default setting is very conservative and will let the GPU reach much too close to its upper heat range before playing catch-up:

Steve, is your home PC a full tower?  it looks to be that way.

Suddenly my single 1080 isn't enough, LOL

Has MULTIPLE computers better than my single one, haha

Those stats on those 1080ti's are crazy

IN4 bench marking results, I know it will be top 1% but curious about the score.  Oh and also, is that a 750 watt PSU?  Do those GPU's throttle down ever or is it enough?  I'm going to have to go back and check out the build, I wanna see the exact MOBO and CPU you are using...  Also, a 1TB M.2 is insanity!!!!
