Chance787
Looking into purchasing a 5k amp but in the process of getting my electrical on point first. Have an Ohio Generator 300amp alt, 75ah under the hood and 2 d3100 reserves at the moment, how many more reserve batts should I run? I am on a budget here so going overboard is not practical. magillaru
As far as battery reserve, you should be good. See how voltage holds and maybe add one more batt in the back if needed. tdsa23
I would add one more just to be safe .5 pulls a lot. magillaru
I always go by one group 31 per 2k.....never had an issue with this method even running at .35. Can never have too much electrical though. 3-4 would give you a good bank but you might be able to get away with 2. It's your money. hdorre
I had a smaller alt but an additional battery for a 6500 at .25 lol. I pulled 936A from the bass amp, rising to .6.. And then had 1200+ to my mids and highs. You should be fine as is. If voltage isn't what you desire, add a third g31. Keep in mind that ~13v+ is mainly the alt. Ahmed Johnson
I have a little more alt power than you, but only a nsb 220 in the rear and I'm rocking .5 ohm on a xfire 4k. A little drop but nothing major
Mitchaford
I would get one more battery and make sure you have wire to transfer that current. 3 group 31's should be good for solid 13.5+ on your alt. 2008 VW Jetta Team Fi 12 CT 4000.1 CT 125.4 PWX 6.5 80 PRS EB Flex 2/0 Second Skin ^^^ Build ^^^
