Ear Bud's - Partial Review and discussion

Recommended Posts

So much to choose from, so many review's. Just like any audio, best thing to do is to hear them for yourself. Granted you don't want to go around sharing ear wax with everyone so that puts you in a dilemma. I purchased a few and will do my own review. Keeping the price for the most part under $100.00 because with ear bud's they are going to take abuse especially if you travel and use them a lot. If I were to be leaving them at home I would possibly go higher end higher price. The following Earbud's I purchased because they were given great review's either on specific website or because Amazon is selling a bunch of them. I will give links to what I purchased.

Yes it is, I wanted to get more. Maybe I will get a few more later on but for now these are the ones that intrigued me enough to want to try them.

Ok so I got three of the ear buds in today. To test them I played all of them on different devices which include Samsung Galaxy S7 , Ipod Mini 2nd gen , Ipod Photo 4th gen, and Ipod Video 5th gen.

Panasonic ErgoFit RP-HJE120-K - There is a reason they are under $10.00 and I guess the reason they sell so many is because they are cheap. They do not get loud at all and on top of that they distort when you are over 3/4 volume. Virtually no mid-bass and sub bass is really light. My stock ear buds from Samsung do a much better job then this.

KZ ATE KZ-ATE - These are fairly decent entry head phone in my opinion. They lack mid-bass but the sub-bass sound pretty good and the mid's and treble are defined and clean. These earbuds sounded clean with the volume all the way up on most songs except when you get into heavy / thrash metal.

Sony MDRXB50AP - The most expensive of the bunch I tested today and the best. These get a lot louder then the other two, no comparison. The Sub bass and mid bass were strong enough to feel the pressure on the ear drums when all the way up. Mids and treble sounded really good and were clean up until the last couple ticks on the Ipod. I reserve the right to come back to this when I get the rest of my ear buds in. For now for $27.27 these Sony ear buds rock and are worth the money.

For now it does seem as though you get what you pay for. Will be interesting to see if that trend continues stay tuned.

No problem.

One pair that I am looking forward to hearing is the JVC HA-FX1X . They are suppose to be really bass heavy for those that enjoy the low end. To be honest The Sony's had plenty of low end. Wanting to find out if the JVC's actually bang harder.
