  Looking at the rp 2000.1 but I know the SKv2 is better I assume as for the large price difference.  And they only offer skv2 1500.1d and 2500.1d no 2000 other than the rp 2000.1 @ 229$  What would the major difference be in the two amps?

Besides the rms power difference of 2000@1ohm vs 2900@1ohm. Heres some things i noticed, not sure if these specs are a concern to u but these specs come up commonly with amp talk.

Rp 2000

   SNR=85

   dampin factor=150

   input voltage max=14v

   fuse=200

   less "bells&whistles"/tuning abilities

V2 2500

   SNR=95

   damping factor=200

   Input voltage max=16v

   fuse=250

   more "bells&whistles"/tuning abilites

    strappable

So I am assuming the skv2 is superior to the rp I am not that good with data on amps. But I don't need 2500 watts and the price tag to go with it. As far as the data goes could I tell a major difference in sound quality between the two? Thanks for the info

The V2 is actually 2900 rms but they just name it 2500. I wonder what it'll peak at.

Yah its superior. What sub or subs are u gonna use it for? If u say u don need 2500watts, u definatly dont need 2900 lol. Thats the Skar competition grade amps, their top of the line. Being able to tell a difference might depend on ur sub setup. Im sure a 900watt difference is noticeable to the ears. But thats if ur sub is rated for that kind of continuos power, might just blow ur sub if its rated for less.

I currently have a alpine pdx 1.1000 and 2 db drive k6 10 that are 750rms per sub. I'm going to get two db drive k9 10s @ 1000rms per sub

Cool. So the 2000watt on that site is peak? And the rms is 1000?. Then yes the rp2000 should be perfect. The 2900 v2 would might cause problems.

Theyre dual 4ohm coils so make sure u wire them together for a final ohm load of 1ohm so u can get that 2000w out of the RP amp. Should be all good man.
