First time hearing of it

I'm curious. Looks to be cloth tape. What's the advantage over electrical tape?

Its been being used for years and years in higher end audio shops.
First problem with electrical tape is it gets gooey in the heat, when that happens the tape unwraps from the wires and leaves behind a residue.
Tesa tape has a higher resistance to abrasion compared to electrical tape.

A lot of the vehicle manufactures are using Tesa tape on the wiring harness or something else similar.
So if you had something wrapped in shiny electrical tape and had to have your vehicle service that shiny tape would stand out to the tech and may try using your after market alarm/remote start as an excuse to why your airbag light is on.
With Tesa tape everything would blend together naturally, wouldn't have to worry about the cons from electrical tape.

Now of coarse if your not making your living as an installer, or drive a older vehicle that uses older methods such as split loom, or just dont care about your install quality then Id say Tesa tape is not for you!

There are 7 kinds of people, let me demonstrate...

Which would you rather see in your vehicle?
