Soundfreezer79
I just put this awesome synthetic oil in my 2000 Silverado 4x4. All I gotta say is wow! My truck runs smoother, quieter, shifts better and is faster. I used a K&N performance gold filter and 5w-30 Royal Purple HMX. My truck has 200,700 miles on it and it runs like new. I did spend about three times as much as I usually do, but it was worth it. I can tell my truck is faster now.

ShadeTreeMechanic
The stereo is probably louder now too. lol The ZDDP (zinc) is only needed for flat tappet cams. Modern engines with roller cams have no use for it. I use Rotella in all my older trucks, gas diesel big and small. A 5 gallon bucket is the most economical but it seems the price is always going up.
