How's it going guys. I recently read an article I really liked (link at the end of this post) about ported boxes and learned some new things. My question is, what are some articles/papers/journals that y'all like? I would like some links to read up on. Can be really anything audio related from box design to electrical. I just want to learn more. I feel like I know quite a bit, obviously not nearly as much as some of y'all on here, but I am always trying to learn something new. I know there are somethings I just don't know and I also know that there are things that I don't know that I don't know. I would like the read to be fairly light but it can still be technical. I would just prefer not to feel like i'm reading a dissertation but if it's a really good read than so be it. Thanks in advanced for your contributions.

Paper I read: http://www.fohonline.com/current-issue/74-tech-feature/10165-understanding-vented-enclosure-designs.html

Not exactly relevant, but my college has a junior-level elective normally for EE's I'm going to take. It's about speaker and enclosure design, but from what I was told about 90% of the content focuses purely on subs.

Going to be a fun class for me.

I would like to see those PowerPoint slides and to know what book it uses. Sounds interesting for sure!

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

And I don't care if you feel like you're reading a dissertation.

Or in German or Italian.

Lol I appreciate the response. I actually downloaded the AC and DC books you linked when I first read that post months ago. Not very far into it as of now but good read from what i've seen so far. I've also read a good portion of the stuff on linkwitz's website. A lot of it went over my head when I first read it a few months ago but I'll probably go ahead and re-read a lot of it once I get a better grasp on things. Again, thank you for the response. This will be keeping me busy for quite some time.
