Will this charger work for XS power batts

Recommended Posts

Curious if anyone has used or is using this charger. Would be nice if I could get a charger this cheap compared to the XS power brand.

Well, it says AGM on it so that's a good start, and you're only charging one XS batt...so I guess it could work to stay on a budget... but I got the XS chargers for my XS batts and would suggest the same. I've got an intellicharger for my 3100's and a lithium charger for the 30k I've got. If you plan to ever upgrade your system you will probably need more batteries and then I believe the intellicharger would be worth it. There's plenty of other chargers out there that are just fine but I've had walmart chargers crap out on me years ago.

As others said, if its just one battery get the smaller ctek, or the Noco Genius g3500 charger for about $60 (which is a 3.5amp charger). https://www.walmart.com/ip/46605772?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227034478241&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=91232399088&wl4=pla-127892511888&wl5=9018759&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=46605772&wl13=&veh=sem

Some of those cheap chargers like that duralast one are made by Schumacher, and iirc I heard a lot of people cooked batteries using those cheap chargers because they dont monitor the voltage like they should, never shut off when the battery was full, etc.

I used to use this and it worked great but I ran a large bank so it took a while to do much but I usually left it on overnight which was plenty of time for it to do it's thing.  I found it online for like $90 shipped.  I see they now make a 15 amp tho.....it's pretty much same as a Ctek which some people on here I have seen frown upon.

I now use this one and love it, only had it less than a year but been working great, a little more powerful.
