As soon as I got it I started to work on the little things that were wrong with it. This will be both a performance build log and audio. So first things first. I stripped all the interior so I can have access to the floor to clean it and apply some second skin. I bought a 40 pound box of b stock Second Skin (which I used up on the floor). I used the 40 pound box and about another box and a half (20 sheets) of damp pro. Overall I got a minimum of 2 layers some spots 3/4. Reason I put so much emphasis on the floor is because the trucks exhaust will be loud once it's done. Anyway here are some pictures. I felt it was a good time and vehicle to install the alt in. i had some belt slipping so I bought and put a gates fleet runner belt on there. Problem solved. other things I've bought are some method 20 inch rims, The truck already has the same wheel on there, but I had to get a 20 to clear my brakes. Wheels should be getting here sometime next week. Going to try and slap them on 35s if there is too much rub I'll have to stick to a 33. Bought these wilwoods a while back for my Tahoe, but I sold it, so I'll be installing the wilwoods on the Silverado. Team Bass-Hz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My friend Joe at LeftCoast32 (https://www.instagram.com/leftcoast32/?hl=en) is ordering up a Cam, Kooks long tubes, and some LS3 parts so we can squeeze some extra power out of this little 5.3 motor. While all that is getting done I'm going with a stainless exhaust system. Should be pretty loud (if you know what I mean ?), which is why I put so much deadener on the floor. I'm thinking about doing the gears on this pig while I'm at it. After all that's done let the tuning begin ?. I'm hoping it'll move a little nicer and tow my vette without a problem. He's ordering the parts today, so I'll be driving down to San Diego within the following weeks to get it done. onto the system, i have a bunch of morel gear sitting at home that I think is time gets used. The plans are an iPad mini slider paired with an 80prs. Thinking about running mosconi amps, dsp, and 4 sundown SA8s. My priority is get get all the performance mods done first though. Funny how I already had a majority of the equipment that I want to re-purchase lol. Anyway, I have 3 pairs of morel elate 6.5s, 2 pairs of supremo 3.5s and 2 pairs of superemo tweets that will be going into this thing. Still needs some talc but I got a hell of a price on this, and only little things had to get done to it. Don't really have goals for it, just want something that's a little choppy (cam) and faster than it is now. Those wheels and tires are heavy, so I'm not expecting too much from it. Getting an ls2 with 30k miles that's already modded. Motor made about 470ish at the crank on a catted system, but we are going 1 7/8 kooks long tubes (probably adding a Tvs1900 in the future) to dual 3in exhaust. I'm hoping to get about 500hp at the crank. While it's there we are putting 410s, and retuning it to accommodate the swap and so we can reuse the corn fuel.
